Starter Relay
A starter relay is used in the operation of the starter motor. The main operation of this device is to make or break contact with the help of a signal without any involvement in order to switch it ON or OFF. A high powered circuit using a low power signal is controlled by it. Similarly, a solenoid is used along with a starter relay sometimes.
Relay is used to control the current at the time of ignition. This acts as an electrical circuit breaker. When we turn the ignition switch, it sends an electrical current through the starter relay. to the starter motor, which then starts your vehicle’s engine. Once the engine has started, you allow your ignition switch to return to the neutral position, allowing it to break the circuit. Both parts of this process take place within a matter of seconds when your vehicle is working properly.
Above all the advantage of relays is that it takes a relatively small amount of power to operate its coil, but the relay itself can be used to control motors, heaters, lamps or AC circuits which themselves can draw a lot more electrical power
